Food and symptom diary
Know what your gut is telling you
Snap your meals, log how you feel, and find the foods behind your symptoms.
- Photo in, ingredients out.
- Measured against your own baseline.
- Your log stays on your device.
No download. Open a link and start.
How it works
-
Snap the meal
Point it at your plate. AI lists the ingredients; you fix what's wrong.
-
Say how you feel
One tap logs a symptom, a bowel movement, or a check-in.
-
Read the ranking
Each food is weighed against your own baseline, on your device.
Manual logging works offline. The AI features need a network connection.
Three things we do differently
-
Fast
Logging takes seconds, not minutes. No searching a database for every ingredient you ate.
-
Honest
We won't call a food a trigger until the data earns it. Confidence is shown, not hidden.
-
Non-intrusive
No profile, no quiz — just an email. Your log lives on your device, and you decide whether it syncs.
Start in your browser, in seconds
Tap the link and the camera is there. No download, no app store account, no hundred-megabyte install.
- One URL, any device — iOS, Android, desktop.
- Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app — full screen, its own icon, straight to the camera.
- It updates itself. No version to chase.

What we measure, and what we won't say
SnapGut looks for associations: foods that show up in the hours before you feel worse, more often than your own baseline would explain — matched across windows from 30 minutes to 48 hours.
A food is only ranked once your log holds enough of it to say anything. Below that bar you see the pattern and its confidence, not a verdict — and no opaque 0–100 score anywhere.
What that is not: SnapGut is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, and it is not an allergy or intolerance test. A pattern in your log is a place to look — not proof that one food caused one symptom.
Your data, your device
No profile, no quiz — just an email. Your log lives in your browser's own storage. Meal photos are sent only to identify the meal, and we don't keep them.
You choose where it syncs
- Local only. The default. The only thing sent anywhere is a photo being identified.
- A Google Sheet you own. Your log, mirrored into your own spreadsheet. A Pro feature; photos are never written to it.
- SnapGut Cloud. Cross-device sync, opt-in, a Pro feature. Your device stays the source of truth.
Switch destinations or turn them off at any time. Export everything to CSV or JSON, free, whenever you want — your data is yours, so keep a copy wherever you like.
Free to log. Pro adds AI and sync.
Pro adds two things: the AI features, and sync — either to SnapGut Cloud on our servers, or to a Google Sheet you own.
-
Pro AI + sync
- AI: photo recognition on every meal
- AI: written insights over your own patterns
- Sync: cross-device, through SnapGut Cloud
- Sync: a mirror in a Google Sheet you own
Pro buys the AI and the syncing, not access to your own history. Logging, your stats, and export are never paywalled.
-
Free forever
- Manual logging, for as long as you want it
- On-device statistics and food ranking
- CSV and JSON export
